The economics of the business are your responsibility; at least, some aspects of it are within your control. You may not have the control to manage the money, but you must

understand it. Do not leave it to the accountants and the finance guys, especially if you are running a small business. Good management means that you should have some

knowledge of how the money is being spent and being generated.

Think Out of the Box

Every manager should be able to innovate and be open to new ideas. You should be knowledgeable about all the new activities in your field and should be able to incorporate

new techniques wherever needed. Do not be rigid in your views; the world is constantly changing and you have to move with the times.
