Comparison between two business focused devices - Nokia E63 and BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220

Nokia E63 and Blackberry Pearl Flip 8220 both are business focused mobile phones but there are some differences in features and design as well. Let me tell you what are the similarities and dissimilarities of these smartphones.

Display and Design

Nokia E63 is a colourful tablet shaped phone made of plastic that works on Symbian operating system version number 9.2 complete with series 60 3.1 software support. Comparatively this one is lighter than its rival as weighs 102 grams and measures 101 x 50 x 17.5 mm. It is also exclusively designed with half QWERTY keyboard with Trackball navigation. And also it features some other special attributes like SureType® Keyboard Software and Keyboard Backlight.

Business Related Features

WLAN Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth with A2DP and USB are common connectivity features presented on these smartphones but Nokia has made its device much powerful by adding 3G and HSCSD too.  Document editor is also a common feature of these competitors but Nokia E63 also comprises MS Office 2007 support via free update. Both of these smartphones bring along 2 MP camera but the functionalities are different in them. The functions of Nokia E63’s camera are Digital Zoom, LED Flash, Flash Range 1 Meter, Flash Mode (Auto, Off & Forced), CMOS Sensor etc. Whereas in Blackberry Pearl Flip 8220 it comes with Flash, Zoom, Dedicated Camera Key. Nokia’s phone bears 120 MB internal storage space and up to 16GB while its challenger has 128 MB built-in memory and up to 8 GB expansible.
