The 21st century has seen a lot of giant strides in the field of technology,How To Get Ringtones For Your Mobile Phone Articles but very few are as viral as the mobile phone. In every large city the world over there are probably just a handful of people that are without mobile phones. That is why a lot of services, both commercial and otherwise are being made available on the mobile technology platform. But there’s one thing, despite our different needs and tastes, which we all use as mobile phone owners- the ring tones.

There are a variety of ring tones that you can use for your mobile phone, but they are generally classified under three main categories.

Mono Tones: This category of ringing tunes beeps only once. These are the ones that have been in use on the earlier phone models at the beginning of the mobile phone age and they are still in use in the current cell phones we use. Though a lot of people still use them as their ring tones, most people prefer the next two types of ring tones.

Polyphonic Ring Tones:  This class of ring tones plays multiple tones. The bulk of what comes with your cell phone are polyphonic ring tones. This is the most common type of ring tones used by mobile phone users.

Real Tones: This is the emerging class of mobile tones that is the taste of the new generation of mobile phone users. It consists of real lyrics, in mp3 and midi formats, which users download onto their cell phones to set as their own ringing tones instead of the polyphonic or monotonic ones that come with the phones.

You can get mobile ring tones by going online and searching for “mobile ring tones”, “cell phone ring tones” or similar phrases that will return more useful information. There are tons of these sites online that provide you with all three types of ring tones. And most of them are completely free, with a few extraordinarily great ones that go for a few dollars.

However, you should also be careful since there are quite a few crooks here and there that are online for just one reason-to dupe people. You may want to think twice about any site that promises you free mobile ring tone downloads, but goes ahead to bill you or ask you to fill in your credit card information before you can download your free ringing tone. It might just be a scam. Don’t fall for it.
