Samsung ML-2525W Review

Overview:One of the most affordable personal printers out there, the Samsung ML-2525W possesses full wireless connectability.  This capability places it head and shoulders above the rest of its competitors.
Pros:Easily, the most outstanding feature of the Samsung ML-2525W is its ability to execute true one-touch printing.  By way of a Print Screen button, users can print data with just one push.  The button is located on the device’s control panel.  When pressed, it almost instantly prints the screen of the current host PC.  Users also have the option of holding the button down for two seconds which then activates the print active window function, allowing users to isolate whatever data they are currently working on and print it incredibly quickly. The unit’s 9 second-to-first page out time ensures that there is almost no time between going from digital data to hard output.The Samsung ML-2525 did not come with wireless capability.  The updated Samsung ML-2525W, however, does.  With its wireless possibilities, the printer can quickly connect to a host PC or network  It’s super easy.Paper handling comes standard for the Samsung ML-2525W.  This printer may be fairly small in size, but it definitely doesn’t seem like when it provides a 250 sheet paper storage capacity in its full-sized paper drawer.  On top of that, the unit possesses a multipurpose bypass slot.  This slot allows users to insert diverse types of media without using the storage chamber.  The supported media types include card stock, envelopes, transparencies, and other things.This handy printer also includes a special brand of software.  It is called AnyWeb and it allowsusers to create printable data that is highly unique, quickly and easily from websources.  Users start with a blank on-screen page.  They then drag anddrop random elements from their web browser into the empty space.  There is no cropping or resizing required.  These files can then be printed directly and/or stored digitally in .tiff or .pdf formats for future use.
Cons:The Samsung ML-2525W lacks the printing power that can normally be found in other laser and inkjet printers of the same price.  This printer has a top print speed of 24 pages per minute for A4 or letter-sized paper.  It is significantly better at performing than its lower-end sister models.  The Samsung ML-2525W even utilizes wireless capabilities.  Regardless of these facts, however, the printer still lacks power compared to other models that can be found in this same price range.
