What birthday gifts to buy for your boyfriend?

Sending birthday gifts is not all about how expensive the gift cost but to me is more towards the idea and thought that counts. As a Chinese, sending gifts is consider an important custom and selection of gifts have to be ideal and not impolite towards the receiver. There are many implied terms if gifts are sent wrongly and will cause a negative impression on your boyfriend.

What birthday gift to avoid?

Avoid gifts that are taboo to his religion and race. This you need to know your boyfriend well and not make any foolish mistake to upset him. For Chinese customer example, sending of clock related gifts is always a “no no no”. As we believe sending of clock means telling him that he is dying soon or we are ready to send him off in his funeral. 

Get creative?

You can give your boyfriend aroma therapy candles or scented bottle which can be used in bathroom and bedroom. This will add terrific aroma to start off a romantic time both of you can spend together enjoying the scent. My choice of scent will be lavender or lemon favour which is both refreshing and suitable for sensitive nose.

Surprise him!

You can drop him a surprise mail with a pair of his favour NBA team basketball match or Soccer match. Find a suitable night which both of you are free to enjoy the game together. Taking quality time to enjoy his favour teams means giving him good support to strengthen your relationship and makes him happy at the same time.

At his convenience!

You can buy him a mini fridge and put right at his bedroom. On top of that, put in a dozen of his favourite beer for him to enjoy. Go to the nearest video store and rent a couple of latest block buster movies, or download movies and play on your tablet to spend an enjoyable day with your boyfriend.

Get wild?

Go to the nearest shopping mall and pick out a sexy brief with pattern or stripes at the men’s section for him. Wrap it up and send to him in a shoe box with a note saying “I only wan to see you in this on your birthday”.

Take a break…

It is always a good idea to go for a vacation with your love ones where both of you will be away from the stress full work spending quality time together. My favourite choice of holiday location always includes romantic beaches, wonderful massages and near to major shopping district.
