CTET Examination would be held twice a year and from now on it would be held only once a year. The candidates may refer to the CTET Exam Pattern and CTET Exam Syllabus in order to prepare well for the examination.

CTET Certificate Validity and Significance

Central Teacher Eligibility Test is organized by Central Board of Secondary Education Delhi usually in a frequency of two times a year. This is usually in the months of February and September where certain objectives involving setting of benchmarks and national standards in the selection of teachers and creation of institutes that accept only those students who qualify the CTET Examination.

The candidates who appear in the CTET Examination would be issued a marks statement. Candidates scoring 60% and above would be issued a CTET eligibility certificate. The School Managements of various schools may consider giving concessions to people belonging to the Scheduled caste/Scheduled Tribe category,CTET Certificate Validity Articles Other Backward Class, Differently Abled persons as per the reservation criteria.

The CTET Certificate shall be applying to schools of the Central Government such as KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools etc) and also those schools which are under the administrative supervision of UTs situated in Chandigarh, Daman, Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Andaman and Nicobar apart from Delhi.

CTET Examination would also be applicable to private schools who may exercise options of considering the same. Schools that are owned and operated by State Government/Local Bodies would be considering exams conducted by the relevant State Government and Authorities.

As per CBSE affiliation Bye- Law, the minimum qualification that has been prescribed for teachers to teach subjects from Grades 1 to 8 in the schools has been amended to the extent, it shall be mandatory for teachers to teach Grades 1 to 8 employed in Schools affiliated to CBSE to qualify/pass Central Teacher Eligibility Test that is conducted by CBSE on behalf of the Central or State Government in accordance with the guidelines that has been framed by the NCTE for this purpose.

The CTET Certificate shall be valid for a period of 7 years from the date of the result declaration for all applicable categories. There would be no restriction on the number of attempts that a candidate can take for getting a CTET Certificate. A person who has qualified CTET may appear for the sake of improving his/her score.

Central Teacher Eligibility Test would be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education. Earlier the CTET Examination would be conducted twice a year, but from now on it is conducted only once a year.

CTET Certificate is an important document that is required to be possessed by candidates who would want to become qualified Government Teachers with compensation and job security. CTET Certificate is a minimum qualification that is required to be had by candidates to become teachers in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Navodaya Vidayalaya Sansthan and other Government Schools.
