Only those who know the value of responsibility, the people with common sense and able to make a choice will attain their goals. They will not give up facing the first difficulties, because they are determined and resolute. They will not despair, because they are persistent. They will not break down as they are able to control and evaluate themselves adequately.

Many of us associate the phrase “a strong willed man” with the image of a self – confident,Power Inside Everyone Articles absolutely resolute person, someone like Sean Connery  acting as agent 007. At the same time all of us realize that we are no supermen.  We are more likely to live by impulses and inducements than guided by our common sense. We don’t aspire to win, conquer and defeat.  We avoid conflicts. Mostly we are compliant, and lack self – confidence. We are inclined to depend on others, prefer to blame the circumstances. Will is an ambiguous notion; indeed this mirror has two faces. The first face is freedom, absence of compulsion and independence. The second one implies will as a self restraint, constant checking of your feeling with practical sense.  But it is the way a person is made – not to live haphazard, but make the best of our days.  As the prominent German psychologist Freud puts it, “only those deserve life and freedom, who fight for them every day”.
