The Next iron Chef is a short predetermined end series known as a Limited run series on the Food Network. It is now in its second season and each season is a competition where the chef is selected to become the Iron Chef who appears in the Food Network program ‘Iron chef America.

In season One eight chefs from around United States competed for the next Iron chef for ‘Iron chef America in year 2007. The series two of the Next Iron Chef was premiered in Oct 2009 where there are 10 chefs who are competing against each other to win the title of Iron Chef in the famous program Iron Chef America.

Ten chefs compete in various locations and the final two contestants have to compete at the Food Network’s Kitchen Stadium to be declared the Iron Chef and join the rank of iron chefs in the series Iron chefs America which is hosted by Alton Brown.

The Chefs selected here become the resident chefs of the Kitchen Stadium for all the episode of iron chef America. Iron Chef America brings the challenger iron chefs selected in the Next iron chef limited run series to compete against one of Kitchen Stadium's resident Iron Chefs; They all have an hour to prepare five dishes which include a secret ingredient handpicked by The Chairman,Next iron chef Articles the man in charge, in order to impress a panel of expert judges.

The judges in this show are Donatella Arpaia and Jeffrey Steingarten.

The winner of the Next iron chef joins the star chefs Mario Batali, Bobby Flay, and Cat Cora as regular contestants on the Iron chef America for the next season.
