When you go get a pizza,Pizza - Old Standby vs Bold New Flavors Articles do you find yourself in a rut? Ordering the same thing over and over is a good way to know you’re going to enjoy your meal, but it’s also a good way to get burnt out on your favorite place. There are lots of combinations and flavors available at most parlors and you might be interested to know what you are missing out on. So do you take a chance, or do you stick with the standard?

Probably one of the most popular pizzas available today is the old standby of pepperoni. There is something nice and tasty about this trusting pie. You don’t have to worry about a lot of flavors flooding your senses. The pepperoni adds just the right amount of spiciness to the dish so that you get a bite without burning your mouth completely off. It’s the old standby that most people go to, especially if you have children. You know you won’t hear “I don’t like that” come out of their mouths when a slice of this pie is slid in front of them. There is a reason that it is probably the most popular style in the country.

It’s nice to have a fallback, but another popular tasty pie is the white pizza. Many parlors are starting to offer this alternative to the traditional pie. Instead of having tomato sauce as its base, the white uses alfredo sauce. This cheese sauce is then topped with more cheeses such as mozzarella and ricotta. On top of this might be a smattering of veggies but often this is eaten plain, with no additional toppings. For those who aren’t a huge fan of tomatoes and tomato sauce, it is quickly becoming an alternative. If you’re not a huge fan of cheese on cheese, then you might want to skip this one for something else.

Another popular flavor is the BBQ pizza. The sauce on this pie varies depending on who is putting it together. Some places use the traditional tomato sauce and some actually use barbecue sauce instead. It is then topped with cheese, usually a combination of cheddar and mozzarella, and then barbecue marinated chicken and a handful of complimentary veggies. It’s a different kind of taste and alludes to nothing of what it is supposed to be. You won’t have many familiar flavors on this pie. Even son it is becoming more and more popular.

Your taste in pizza might not be extreme enough to brave a BBQ pie or you might be far more adventurous than that. The point is whatever you choose, pick something that you know you are going to love. Just because you have small children doesn’t mean you have to be stuck eating just cheese and pepperoni, you can always take a walk on the wild side while letting them have their old favorites. That’s the joy of ordering more than one pie.
