With the cost of providing a professional medical service to American families rising, it is not surprising that many people are looking for an affordable health care provider. Many companies are now increasing the charges, for providing this service to their workers or cutting back on the level of cover. In this instance I speak with experience because my health care service has reduced this year for the first time ever. They informed everyone that owing to the increasing cost of providing health care, they were going to use a new, less expensive provider.They said it was necessary if all their employees were to have the same level of health care. I am told that the new insurance package is still very good and I am lucky to have it. It is not that I am against other workers getting a good deal but they are now taking twice the amount out of my salary so that my husband and daughter are covered. Taking a good deal less home in my paycheck to have my family remain on the healthcare policy seems to be the only option I have because almost everyone else is happy with the new arrangement.I liked the previous company and so far I am not as impressed with the new one although the health care plan does not seem that bad. The new affordable health care plan initiated by my company meant that certain workers found themselves a lot worse off financially with additional co-pays and expenses. You see, four years ago, I gave birth to a little girl and of course my old insurance paid for the whole of my hospital stay. Compare this to the new health care plan and I would be out of pocket by over 4,000 dollars.Keep in mind that although I would have to pay hospital fees, there is also the small matter of my co-pays as well. Affordable health care options are becoming more widely available because there is a desperate need for them. For workers in companies without health care plans and single mums for instance, this is a God send. Whilst I appreciate these programs because they are saving lives and helping people to grow stronger and healthier, some people take advantage of them.For many people desperately trying to improve their situation these affordable health care plans are a life-line but to others they are just an easy option. We often forget who is ultimately paying for these schemes; us, the taxpayer. The health plan program my employer found definitely had improved financial benefits for him. Having a reduced income seems to be the result of these work changes with only the company truly benefiting. Affordable health care is a long term issue that needs addressing in this country because it is those worst off who are affected.
