Homeopathic remedies are based on the principle of the "law of similars" first discussed by a German physician in the late eighteenth century. The underlying methods of dilution and "succussion" are meant to work in conjunction to give the remedies increased potency. Embracing the concept of "let like be cured by like" homeopathic remedies use natural elements that are seen to create positive outcomes in people suffering from various ailments and then they are distilled and diluted in a solution of water.

The earliest written account of these principles in use is from ancient Greece,The History of Homeopathy and HCG Diets Articles Hippocrates instructed a patient to ingest mandrake root in order to cure his suffering from mania. Mandrake root in large doses will cause mania but Hippocrates prescribed a small dose presumably to allow the sufferer to become immune to the effects and therefore become immune to the condition. In the sixteenth century the historical father of pharmacology Paracelsus is quoted as saying "what makes a man ill also cures him." and it is from this idea that modern homeopathy was born. Samuel Hahnemann first proposed the method that is employed to create current homeopathic remedies in 1797 and from there usage has steadily become more popular particularly for those with a distrust of modern medicinal practice.

It is from this that the weight management system using human chorionic gonadotropin or HCG diets has evolved. HCG diets developed by a British endocrinologist Dr. Albert Simeons who had previously done work in India to help prevent and cure malaria, doing a great deal to aid the health of particularly poorer residents of the worst malaria affected areas. While completing his work in various regions of India Simeons studied pregnant women who subsisted on a very low calorie diet. Research led Simeons to develop the theory that using HCG diet methods of ultra-low calorie consumption and ingesting remedies created with HCG will lead to reliable weight loss without the need for excessive exercise.

After working in India, Simeons started a residency at Salvator Mundi International Hospital in Rome, Italy. It was at this hospital that Simeons started treating people with intravenous applications of HCG diet compounds in conjunction with a high-protein, low carbohydrate, ultra-low calorie diet plan. After his death in 1970 this treatment entered more widespread use in various specialty clinics and treatment centers around the world, particularly in the United States during the late twentieth century.

Combining HCG diet remedies with this low calorie intake, most often of less than 500 calories a day can allow consistent weight loss at a rapid pace. When considering or undertaking any weight-loss regime it is essential to discuss your intentions with your doctor, they will provide additional recommendations for the safest and efficient way to proceed for your particular circumstances. You may also suffer from a medical condition that will require special attention to dietary needs and your doctor will best advise you on the best way to achieve your desired weight-loss goals.
