Beanbags have always been an everybody’s favorite lounging companion.  The soft covering and the ultra-comfy feel it gives to its seater makes watching television,How to Clean Beanbags Articles reading or just plain “doin’ nothing” relaxing.  The kids are likely the ones who enjoy it most. They don’t just sit; they jump on it, eat on it and even sleep on it. Just imagine the spills, food stains and other unimaginable dirt it will leave on the chair.Keep beanbags looking clean and new by frequent cleaning. There are items at home that can be utilized to clean the chairs.

There are different types of beanbags and each type needs a specific method to clean them. Like for example the cloth covering: the beans must be removed first and save it for later. If you can see pet hairs or any dirt, a vacuum cleaner with its attachment can remove it.  Check for any tear that needs mending for you do not want any holes when you clean it. A stain remover can also be used for those stubborn stains. Dump the cover onto the washing machine and wash it following the care instructions. Use mild and bleach-free soap if there are no instructions present. Make an extra rinse, hang to dry or dry through a machine if the garment can tolerate it. Once it is clean, refill it with the beans.

Vinyl beanbags can be cleaned with a damp cloth and warm water. Remove the cover and spread it out on the floor or on a table. Mix some mild detergent to the warm water and wet the cloth in the water solution. Wipe on areas that have dirt and spend extra time on hard to remove stains. Wipe again the beanbag with cloth dipped in clean water. Hang to dry and refill it back with the beans.

There are some moments that beanbags are not just stained but with odors especially if the beans absorbed it. The very first thing to do is remove the beans and place them in a large container, let them sit on a fresh open air for several days or until the odor dissipates. Another method is by sprinkling the beans with baking soda. It will help in absorbing the odor for you can’t wash the beans but you can at least draw out the odor.

For some additional tips, if the odor is hard to remove, you can always go online and purchase new beans. And to help make the beanbag stay longer and to do away with frequent deep cleanings,  spot clean the beanbags as soon as a spill happen most especially on the vinyl covers.
