Towel Drying

Fabric Softener manufacturers may advertise that it leaves your clothes dry and feeling soft and silky but it's not only about what you put in to your washing machine. Have you ever put a lovely bath sheet out on your washing line in lovely warm weather and in a very short time, depending if you are lucky enough to have the drying weather, you take your towel off the line and it has a similar feel to a sheet of sand paper. Towel dry techniques are tricky enough thing that we don't normally consider how to properly go about the process of towel drying.

You have to be more careful about how you towel dry your lovely towels. It is very good and ecological to put your towels out on the line to get rid of the excess moisture. The trick is what comes next. In order to get your lovely fluffy soft feel towels it is best to practice putting them into the tumble dryer for at least the last half hour.

You could try absolute bucket loads of fabric softeners on your towels but this will make them less absorbent and at the end of the day that is really what towels are for: drying. Towel drying correctly ensures the whole straight-out-of-the-shower drying experience soft and warm and everything we love.

If we are trying to save our finances then unfortunately the market is full of lesser quality towels. These towels are probably best used to wash floors but they can be made a bit more bearable if they are given the same towel drying treatment as our more special occasion towels.

The mix has to be correct: you need the correct amount of fabric softener. You also need to have the right timing of leaving your towels outside to dry before going into the tumble dryer for a short time. Too long outside and they will feel harsh and hard. Only basic trial and error will help you get the equation just right. Unfortunately this equation does change according to the different quality towels.

Towel drying knowledge may be something that we would laugh at if we were to openly admit it is very important but it is the only way, together with the correct detergents, we can have the five star quality towels in our own homes.
