Each and everyone of us has not only the right, but also the obligation, to be happy...to enjoy our lives!

One of the major thoughts that crossed my mind when I finally settled down and decided to set some goals was the fact that I had better be accurate about what they are,Effortless Goals Articles because I will be trading time out of my life that I will never see again...I was going to choose what they refer to as a “time line.”

The only alternative to setting goals was to live a life that wasn't committed to something worthwhile, a “cause” so to speak.  If we are not committed to some worthy cause, no matter what it is, I believe that we are just wasting our lives...our life would not matter...and that is sad!

When we know where we are going, it tends to eliminate a hugh amount of stress and aggravation, for now we have a good reason for living. We can now  enjoy some inner peace within us,  for we are able to put our goals, and the steps to attain them, on paper...we can read them, hold them, think about them, expand on them, and dream about them.  Eventually, they will become ingrained deep within our subconscious mind.

As the subconscious mind is filled with our goals, it will in turn, like a computer, program us with not only the ambition, but also with the determination to earn the right to accomplish those goals.

Each and everyone of us has not only the right, but also the obligation, to be happy...to enjoy our lives!  And I sincerely believe that is why, when we are deciding what are goals should be,  we should write at the top of every page an extremely important three letter word that should guide us in our decisions---and that word is “FUN.”

Each and every goal we put to paper should be fun to us...if it doesn't register in our mind as fun, do not list it on the paper...why plan for failure and unhappiness??? Of course, as we list our goals, we must keep in mind that we can always change them if we wish.  But how do we go about deciding on what those goals should be?

Now  comes the easy part?  Yes, it can be easier then we might imagine...it is referred to as action!  Yep, now we have to do something to attain our goals! Perhaps we might wish to approach it from this standpoint --- what do we do when we play?  We use our muscles, we think, we talk, we listen, we interact with others, sometimes we are sad and sometimes we are glad, and sometimes we are mad and sometimes we are happy.  Now consider this question --- aren't those things exactly what we do when we work?  Of course it is!  All we have to do is enter into our brain, and under the heading “drudgery”, scroll down and click on the word “work” and drag it over under the heading “happy.”  Why insert it under the word “happy?”  Because now work will be a happy place to go, because we are now going to a place where we are going to   be paid to be happy.  It's like everything else in life, it depends on how we look at it... our attitude!

And how do we put some effort into our goals?  Well, let me say this about that!  What type of books do you enjoy reading, and what type of movies do you watch? Do you read and watch those that leave you feeling rather down and depressed?  Then stop it!  Read the books, magazines, etc., and watch the movies that teach us how to overcome our adversities, and leave us inspired to raise ourselves to new heights...the ones that show us how to be far better off  than we are now,  the ones that re-enforce  our morals and beliefs, and motivate us to become good examples for our children.

A)  Job/Career---what type of career or job do you believe you would enjoy pursuing?  If not sure, then ask yourself what your talents and abilities are.  If you have a hobby, perhaps you would like to use your knowledge of it to either write and market a book about it, or purchase the parts need wholesale, and sell them retail...in other words, why not make a business of it?

A few sub-headings might be the types of books you should read, and/or the type of school you may have to attend.

B)   Home---if you don't currently have your own home, then your next heading may be “home”---what type of home do you want?  Go into some details, such as the type of furniture, how much land do you want it on, and in what part of the country?

C)    Vehicle---what year, make, and model of vehicle do you desire?  Do you want it to be black, red, or blue?  Do you want a/c, heat, a CD player, leather seat, and maybe a great stereo system in it?

D)     Hobbies---do you have some hobbies now? If not, are there some you would like to tinker with later on?

E)     Books---How about self improvement, hobbies, travel, mountains, plate techtonic, or ????????

F)     Travel---Would you like to travel somewhere exotic?  What country or state? Would you maybe like to travel to another country by ocean liner or plane?  Or perhaps you would rather just grab a pickup truck with a nice camper and travel all over the country visiting historic sites, and ogling the beautiful scenery?:

Of course, add as many headings as you feel is necessary, and over a period of time, add more details as you think of them. And please remember that you can always change them later.

Do what you know you have to do---write down each one of your objectives in as much detail as you can, attempt to put a time down when you wish to attain each objective, and of course, you also must enter under each heading what actions you need to take.

Please write them down and read them at least three times a week.  There is a great and positive reason for writing them down in more and more detail...because our brains are just computers, and whatever we tell them, real or imaginary, they believe that it is real, and will work  accordingly to make your goals come true.  The more details you go into, and the more you read them, the more excited you will become about them, and that means you will spend the necessary time and effort to accomplish them..  Naturally, we have to put some effort into our goals, for if we don't put any effort into them, they  are not worth the effort----I just had to say that!
