Today is July 3rd (it was when I wrote this - smile) and I've been reflecting on Freedom. I am leading a meditation at my spiritual center tomorrow and Freedom seems to be an appropriate topic. As I thought about what I'm going to say tomorrow,National Law of Attraction Day Articles I found myself thinking about how much law of attraction is a teaching of Freedom.

Law of attraction teaches us that we get what we think about - good or bad, positive or negative. We have absolute Freedom of consciousness and we choose by our intent. Isn't that wonderful? That just feels so powerful to me - we have absolute Freedom to choose any experience we want to have, and all we have to do is intend it. Now, of course, the devil, as they say, is in the details. We know that 'intend' carries with it allowing, expecting, and believing it is ours, along with weeding out our negative beliefs. I can hear some of you saying, "Intention is not effective without action."

But law of attraction has an elegant simplicity to it. As we intend something, we are led to the actions we need to take. We never need to come up with the actions from an intellectual, figuring-it-out stance. We can trust the Universe to lead us gently toward our desire through inspiration and intuition. The Universe also immediately begins to give us signs that it is coming - if we let ourselves recognize them. And whenever we find ourselves attracting, or living, a situation that is not to our liking, we have the Freedom to change our thoughts about it and by doing so, change our experience of it. Freedom! And nobody can keep it from you. How good is that?

Philadelphia, "the birthplace of Freedom", is my hometown. We talk a lot about Freedom here this time of year, and somehow I am irrationally proud to be living in a city that takes Freedom so seriously and that I am teaching a philosophy of absolute Freedom. I think July 4th should be declared National Law of Attraction Day.
