"I wish to be successful." "I wish to get promoted." "I wish to lose weight." "I wish to get rich."

What is your wish?

Unfortunately,The Obvious Truth about Getting What You Want in Life Articles wishing for something is not enough. Your wishes will never come true unless they are justly earned!

Let me explain...

In his masterpiece "As a Man Thinketh," James Allen wrote:

"Not what he wishes and prays for does a man get, but what he justly earns. His wishes and prayers are only gratified and answered when they harmonize with his thoughts and actions."

Fabulous! Don't you agree?

The brilliant term "justly earn" holds the obvious truth about getting what you want and wish for in life.

Most people wish for things that they are simply not qualified for not yet, anyway! They wish to become successful, but they don't think or act like successful people. They just go through life with the same old mentality that got them to where they are today. They wish to become rich, but they have a victim mentality and think like poor people, or they think money is a big evil and they don't want or even deserve to have it. They wish to get promoted, but they are not fully qualified to take on the new position.

If you fall into these same traps, then here is a warning flag: "You only get what you justly earn."

I know you might say that life is not always that fair. THAT IS A MYTH. Life is fair. Yes, life is fair no matter how it may appear to you.

Perhaps you've gone through some hard times and tough circumstances that made you think life is unfair. Perhaps you just didn't understand why all of these bad things were happening to you. But here is a tip that might give you a clear understanding of how life works...

***You burn gold to remove the dross. ***

Life "burns" you to help you develop the qualifications you need to succeed, my friend! Your mission in life requires you to learn vital lessons that are only learned through adversity. Tough times give you what you need to "justly earn" what you want in life.

Look at another profound thought by James Allen...

"Man is buffeted by circumstances so long as he believes himself to be the creature of outside conditions. But when he realizes that he is a creative power and that he may command the hidden soil and seeds of his being out of which circumstances grow, he then becomes the rightful master of himself."

You are the master of yourself and only you are the creator of your destiny. Why? Because you are in control of your thoughts and, therefore, your actions!

Your wishes and prayers are only gratified and answered when they harmonize with your thoughts and actions.

Before thinking that life is unfair, first examine your thoughts and actions. Are they in harmony with the level of success you want to achieve?

If yes, then rest assured that you are on the right path, and trust that GOD is fair - and very soon you will see the fruit of your thoughts and actions.

Stop struggling against outside influences and circumstances beyond your control. Instead, learn from all of the experiences that life throws at you, good or bad, because every situation holds a key lesson for you. Use your circumstances to discover your hidden powers. Prove that you deserve what you want before you wish to have it. Harmonize your thoughts and actions with what you wish, and see how success will naturally be attracted to you.

"A man only begins to be a man when he builds himself up in strong and noble thoughts; ceases to kick against circumstances, but begins to use them as aids to his more rapid progress and as a means of discovering the hidden powers and possibilities within himself." - James Allen

The smart farmer trusts that life is fair and that the laws of nature never fail. If he nurtures good seeds, he will reap a good harvest. If he puts in the necessary effort, he will reap the expected rewards.

The smart farmer does his homework - he studies the soil and the weather, and plants quality seeds. You'll never see him just sitting around wishing and hoping that the earth will give him a good harvest!

Follow the laws of the universe, and trust that you will get what you "justly earn".
