The long wait for the cricket lovers is finally coming to an end. The ICC World Cup 2011 is just round the corner.

Waiting time is almost over as the 10th world cup sports event has almost reached at our door step. By now most of the cricket fans would have got on their toes to experience the thrill of the huge sports event.
This huge sports event was initially planned to be held in Pakistan. But the Lahore incident forced ICC to re-schedule it. Therefore the 10th ICC cricket World Cup 2011 is now scheduled among the three south Asian countries. India will host major matches while the co-hosts would be Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. 8 matches of the mega event are scheduled to be held in India, four to be held in Sri Lanka and 2 matches will be featured in Bangladesh. 14 teams from all over the world will contend for the World Cup in just few days. International Cricket Council has planned the dates for the mega battle to start from February 19, 2011 and will continue till the beginning of April 2011.
The 14 teams from all over the world are divided into two groups – Group A and Group B.
Group A comprises of New Zealand, Australia, Zimbabwe, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Kenya and Canada whereas Group B will include India, Bangladesh, South Africa, West Indies, England, Ireland and Netherlands.
ICC cricket World Cup 2011 schedules its first match in Bangladesh between India and Bangladesh. The second match between New Zealand and Kenya will move to Chennai in M.A. Chidambaram Stadium. ICC cricket world cup schedules its quarter final matches towards the end of March 2011. The quarter final matches will initiate on March 23, 2011 in Sher-e Bangla stadium at Dhaka. Semi final matches will be held between the winners of first and third quarter final matches in Premadasa stadium at Colombo. The winners of second and fourth quarter finals will contend for the second semi final battle in Punjab Cricket Association – Mohali.
Cricket is the religious game for Indian fans and they are lucky to get the opportunity to experience the thrill of grand finale in Wankhede Stadium at Mumbai. This event will happen on April 2, 2011. Cricket fans from all over the world are lucky to get the tickets in affordable price range. While the ticket rates at various stadiums are not uniform. The rates for all the matches are not same as well. By now the Central Organizing Committee has already sold out more than 1 lac online tickets for the mega sports event of 2011 ICC cricket World Cup. BCCI will soon come up with the tickets for semifinal and final matches.
As the Cricket teams are the world is increasing, the number of matches is increasing compared to the prior World Cup events. Cricket being the most entertaining game, attracts the cricket lovers from all over the world irrespective of their age and therefore attracts reputed sponsors from all over the world.
