UFC Fight Night 25: The two Jakes and Facebook streams
Everything is ready for UFC Fight Night 25,Sports Headlines: UFC Fight Night 25, WBC Welterweight Title Articles which is going to take place on Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in NOLA on September 17. The main card for the event, known as the “Battle of the Bayou,” features an outstanding fight between fan favorite Jake Shields, who is looking to redeem himself after his loss to Georges St. Pierre at UFC 129, and Jake Ellenberger, who is going after his fifth straight victory. Another interesting aspect of the event is that the 25 preliminary-card fight is going to stream on facebook, so, if you aren’t near your tv and don’t want to miss the live action, visit facebook.com/ufc tomorrow night.

Mayweather vs Ortiz for WBC Welterweight title
A lot of professional fighting this weekend on TV, as not only we will have UFC Fight Night 25, but we will also have an outstanding boxing match on the screen on Saturday night: Floyd Mayweather against Victor Ortiz. As we know, Mayweather is currently undefeated in 41 fights, and Ortiz and his team are planning on taking a different approach to the fight in order to eliminate that “zero losses” from Mayweather’s resume as he mentioned that “I saw many of his fights, and most of the guys fought him the same way. Not the same way, but they showed him respect. We’re not going to do that.” This fight is particularly interesting because the WBC Welterweight World Title in on the line, and being Ortiz the current title holder, this is certainly a must-see.

Davis Cup: Nadal gives Spain advantage over France
He overcame his finals loss against Novak Djokovic at the US Open four days ago, and now Rafael Nadal seems refreshed after his David Cup semi-finals victory over Richard Gasquet, giving Spain an early lead over the French at the world group stage. Playing at home probably was one of the keys for Nadal’s overly-confident attitude, and the same goes to David Ferrer, who defeated Gilles Simon at the clay court from Plaza de toros Los Califas in Cordoba, Spain. There is still 3 more matches to be played before it is decided which country is going to make it to the finals against either Serbia or Argentina.

Pirates vs Dodgers tonight
The second of a 4-game series between the Pirates and the Dodgers will be taking place tonight at Dodger Stadium. Pittsburgh is currently winning the series with a victory over Los Angeles on Thursday night thanks to Ross Ohlendorf, who pitched 7 strong innings and contributed with a 3-run homer for a 6-2 victory, and even though his performance was outstanding, it will be Jeff Locke who is going to be the starter for the Pirates today.
