The F.A. Premier League is arguably the best football league in the world. Since it began over fifteen years ago it has attracted some of the worlds best proffesional footballers. They play in such amazing arenas, such as Old Trafford, Anfield and St. James Park to name just three, week in week out in front of fifty thousand plus fans.
Twenty teams play each other twice each, both at home and away, over the course of nine months. In a league system teams gain three points for a victory and one point for a draw with the losing team taking nothing from the game. Previous winners of the competition are Manchester United, Blackburn Rovers, Arsenal and Chelsea. Football is by far the most popular sport in the United Kingdom and with so many children taking up the game from an early age the future of the sport in this country is extremely bright.
