Before you jet off to this alpine paradise, read on to find out which area is right for your level of ability. All of the ski regions are connected by resort transit so you can try out many different areas. When you’ve finished your ski adventures, my team at Shuttle Direct will be more than happy to collect you from any resort to take you from Chamonix to Geneva airport.

Ski Areas: Quick Facts

1. Grands Montets

In the heart of the mountains and next to the Argentière glacier, this region offers even the most advanced skiers something to marvel over: whether it’s the immense off-piste slopes or the stunning natural heritage.

Altitude: 1235m-3300m
Slopes: the Argentière, Lognan, the Pendant and off-piste.
Extras: Freestyle park with camera system so you can check out your technique!
Prices: Adult ½ day = 45 €, full day = 50.50 €, 6 days = 252.50 €, Child ½ day = 38.30 €, full day = 42.90 €, 6 days = 214.60 €

2. Brévent-Flégère

Enjoy the stunning nature reserve and multitude of slopes for all abilities.

Altitude: 1877m – 2525m
Slopes: All levels including beginner’s area (the Savoy).
Extras: Excellent freestyle areas with 5 rails and 500m speed pistes.
Prices: Adult ½ day = 45 €, full day = 50.50 €, 6 days = 252.50 €, Child ½ day = 38.30 €, full day = 42.90 €, 6 days = 214.60 €

3. Les Houches

Ideal for all levels with 27 slopes to choose from!

Altitude: 950m – 1900m
Slopes: 4 black runs, 13 red runs, 8 blue runs and 2 green runs.
Extras: Incredible panoramic view of Mont-Blanc from the summit.
Prices: Adult ½ day = 38.50 €, full day = 43 €, 6 days = 215 €, child ½ day = 32.70€, full day = 36.60 €, 6 days = 182.80 €

4. Domaine de Balme: Le Tour and Vallorcine

On one side, Le Tour offers wide and mellow slopes that overlook the Chamonix valley; on the other, enjoy the stunning tree-lined pistes of Vallorcine.

Altitude: 1100m – 2186m
Slopes: Great for beginners, but also has an off-piste area.
Extras: Filmed slalom on the Balme ski area: look back on your run with a ski-movie!

5. La Vormaine

Located at the bottom of the Balme area – beautiful sunny slopes ideal for all the family.

Altitude: 1480m (4 different lifts)
Slopes: Beginners/Novices
Extras: Freestyle space that is equipped for beginners
Prices: Adult 1/2 day = 12.70 €, full day = 17 €, 6 days = 85 €, child 1/2 day = 9.80€, full day = 13.40 €, 6 days = 67 €
