With computers making certain things so much easier to do, why are they so much trouble? There isn't anybody that has not felt the pain and frustration of not being able to get their computer to function properly or altogether crash. There is nothing more devastating than a computer crash or malfunction and the worst part about it is that many times the problems could have been avoided with a few precautions and some preparation.

There is plenty you can do to save yourself, your family, and even your business from a bunch of headaches and things that can possibly destroy your professional and personal life. The first thing you need to do if you are an employer is to make sure that your workers are using their business computers the correct way. Don't take any chances at all because if they are using their business computers the wrong way, it could mean ruin to your company.

This can be as simple as key words and keeping employees from questionable sites that aren't appropriate in the workplace. Or they can be more involved and keep employees from accessing recreational sites such as sports and shopping sites, not to mention social networking sites. How much productivity is lost on social networking every day? It is probably measured in the billions around the world.

Trusting your employees is a great and honorable thing, but it could lead to disaster. There are sites that are simply wrong to access while at work, so putting a block on those sites is a great idea. There are simple software systems that can prevent any access to any site that would seem inappropriate.

It only takes accessing one bad site or page and downloading something that crashes your computer. Worse than that, the virus could infect your entire network and not crash it, but read the history and memory. Losing your privacy and possibly having information stolen is much worse than just having your computer crash. Preparing your computers and being proactive in protecting them is all it takes to be safe. It just takes a little upfront effort and keeping on top of the situation before letting it get out of hand and waiting for something bad to happen.
