Storage containers that fit under beds and in closets are fantastic to keep extra clothing, some snack food, and other items which might be wanted.
Living in the dorms allows a student the opportunity to make friends. Just about every student there is away from home and wants to talk to other people. A student can try to make friends with their roommate, as this is one of the first people they will meet and will spend a lot of time with. Even if a roommate does not end up becoming a good friend it is still important to get along with them.
Common courtesy helps the flow to building good relationships. A general rule is also to not touch their possessions without asking permission. The people living in the same dorms are also excellent to make friends with, they are close by and hunting for company. When someone wants visitors they usually leave the door to their room open, when they are occupied they will close the door. This is the unofficial way to invite people in or to get some privacy. Dwelling in the dorms is an amazing experience and college students should make the most out of this occasion.
