Watchmen DVD - Action Geared For Adults

Watchmen, was one of those film that I had no intention of seeing.  My friends were all going and I decided to join, but ave never heard of the film, now I am glad I made that decision.  It was such a great movie that I am not only anxiously awaiting the DVD release, later in the month, I have already pre-ordered it!

The Watchmen is based on the graphic novel by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons.  It takes place during an alternate 1895, where the Cold War is still present and Richard Nixon still holds the Presidential office.  This is a film that no only has action but an intense and well developed plot on many levels.

This is more then just comic book characters on the big screen, it is comic characters mixed with amazing visual effects and action that will keep you on the edge of your seat.  One of the most enjoyable aspects of the film was that it was geared towards adult audiences, unlike most movies that are adapted from comic books. 

Although the final DVD features have not been released yet, what we do know id that it is said to have a total of two hours of extras.  There are also rumored that an ultimate edition will also be following the release which will have different version of the movie.

The Watchmen DVD is scheduled to release on July 27,2009, although it can be pre-purchased at many reputable online retailers, like www.cdwow.com.  It may be a good idea to pre-order your copy today instead of driving to the store when it is released only to find out that they no longer have it in stock.  This is an outstanding action film that you are sure to watch over and over again!
