Lola was the type of person who didn't believe in second chances. She didn't give her boyfriends second chances. She didn't give her friends second chances. She didn't even give her pets second chances,Give Pizza a Second Chance Articles if they did something to annoy her. So, it's not hard to believe that she didn't have many friends. Of the few friends she did have, Nancy was the most loyal one who was able to stick by her side through all of her mood swings and extremely high maintenance personality.

One day Nancy decided to invite Lola to a pizza party that she was throwing for one of her cousins, who recently graduated from high school.

"You know I don't like pizza," said Lola. "Remember that time we ordered pizza from that place and it was absolutely disgusting and the service was horrible."

"Yes, I remember," said Nancy sarcastically.

"Well, I appreciate the invite, but why would you ask me to go somewhere and eat something that you know I hate?" asked Lola.

"Lola, it's not that bad," said Nancy. "You had one bad experience with the dish and now you're just throwing it away like you throw people in your life away. You need to really stop and reevaluate your decisions."

"It's really not that serious," said Lola. "It's just food. I don't know how you can correlate this with stupid friends that I had to get rid of because they did stupid things."

Nancy rolled her eyes.

"Okay, whatever," said Nancy. "You don't have to come then."

"Okay, okay I'll come," said Lola. "But, I will not eat that disgusting food."

About a week passed and it was time for the graduation party. So, Nancy stopped by to pick Lola up. As they were sitting in the car, they began to have a friendly chat.

"So, is your cousin going to college," asked Lola.

"Yep," said Nancy. "She's going to the college upstate to study sports medicine."

"Cool," said Lola.

After a few moments of silence, Nancy began to speak.

"I've been thinking that you should really reconsider and try to eat pizza again," she said. "You had one bad experience and I think you're really missing out."

Lola shook her head furiously.

"No way," she said. "That is not happening."

After about 20 minutes, they finally got to the place and sat down. Everyone was having a good time. Then, the food finally arrived. Everyone began to eat and get full, while Lola sat quietly trying to hide the fact that her stomach was growling.

"Why aren't you eating anything?" asked Nancy's cousin, the graduate.

"I'm fine," she said. "I don't want anything."

After a few moments of feeling awkward and hungry, Lola finally decided to give in. She tasted a small piece of the pizza and to her surprise, it was actually very good. She took another bite and another until her slice was totally gone.

She looked over at Nancy and smiled as Nancy smiled back.
