So what exactly is an All Natural latex mattress? This means that the mattress is made up of one hundred percent latex and is chemical free. It also contains no synthetic materials like Styrene Butadiene Rubber,What is an All Natural Latex Mattress? Articles which is also known as SBR. Instead of using chemicals the mattress is made using the liquid from Rubber trees. This liquid is used to create the latex for the mattress. The liquid is gathered by ‘tapping’ the trees. ‘Tapping’ refers to making cuts in the rubber tree and catching the liquid that comes out. This process means that absolutely no chemicals or synthetic materials to be added during the process.

There are two ways that this type of latex mattress is manufactured. The first way is through a method known as the “Dunlop” process. This particular process had been used since the early 1900s. The sap from the Rubber tree is whipped into a froth. It is then poured into a mold, covered, and steam baked. The sediments from the mold move to the bottom of the mixture which causes mattresses made with the Dunlop process to be firmer on that side of the mattress.

The other way to make an All Natural latex mattress is through a process called the Talalay process. This particular process takes it a step beyond the Dunlop process. After the sap is poured it is sealed and placed in a vacuum. It is then flash frozen before it is baked. Because the Talalay process uses the flash freezing technique, it allows for a more consistent cell structure within the mattress. The flash freezing and other step also causes latex mattresses made using this process to be more expensive. Mattresses made using the Talalay process usually are softer. This means that if you prefer a pillowy surface to sleep on you will definitely want to go with a Talalay made process.

Those mattresses made using the Dunlop process are typically firmer. This is because the material in the mattress is denser than the material in mattresses made using the Talalay process. Mattresses made using the Dunlop process also tend to be more durable. This can be a good thing if you have children who just love to jump on their beds. The good news is that no matter what process is being used, your All Natural latex mattress is sure to be comfortable. It just depends on whether you prefer a softer or firmer type of mattress.

So if you want to start shopping around for a new mattress, make sure you go online to Brooklyn Bedding. They have a variety of options or you to choose from.
