Motorcycle riders love to explore different places on their bikes. Some riders even spent days exploring the suburbs by camping on the grounds while others just take a tour and head back home. Motorcycle touring and camping are the best way to appreciate and explore the beauty of the country side. It can also give you the chance to reconnect with nature. But for a newbie like you who wants to experience this kind of adventure, it is best understand the difference between camping and touring and the preparations you need to do before your trip.

Motorcycle camping is more exciting because it allows you to enjoy the open road, cook over an open fire and to sleep outdoors with the bike at your side and the stars above. This is the classic way of enjoying motorcycle camping. How about touring? If motorcycle camping will really require you to build up a tent and to cook your own food, motorcycle touring is when you head out for a long road trip; then pull over at a motel or inn instead of sleeping outdoors.

If you are an adventurer, camping is the best way to enjoy nature. However, if you don’t have the right equipment and gears, this trip could be a disaster. So what are the right equipments to bring for motorcycle camping or touring? Motorcycle touring does not require you to sleep outdoors; thus what you need to bring is a change of clothes, food, water, emergency and maintenance kit, rain gears and enough amount of cash. Even though you’re not going to sleep outdoors, resting could still be uncomfortable if you don’t plan ahead your accommodation.

On the other hand if you’re planning to camp out, you must bring clothes, foods, water proof canvas, sleeping bag, cooking gears, tent, cooking and eating utensils, maintenance and emergency kits, flashlight and cash. Your foods can be a combination of perishable and non-perishable. It is also very important to bring a comfortable tent, one that will keep you warm and protect you from the bad weather. A good tent has good ventilation and must be waterproof.

Motorcycle camping is fun but the downside here is that you can’t bring everything you thought you need. Your motorcycle will limit the weight and quantity of things you need to carry therefore you must choose your gears and equipments wisely. Since you will always be on the move, it is best to plan ahead your camping grounds.
