Some people say that you can’t practice religion and Mysticsm at the same time but that is just not true. When you rationally think about it they go together because it is a belief. If we should just pick one thing we are limiting ourselves to a closed mind. There are several people that have practiced Mysticsm in the past. Some of them you might have heard of. We will begin with Socrates, the Dali Lama, Edgar Cayce, and several others including Jesus Christ. When we talk about Mysticsm we are actually talking about something that we believe in. You can’t see it but it is there just waiting for us to call on it. There are several general characteristics that Mysticsm share with all the religions. That is being a feeling of knowing that there is something that we can’t see but it is what makes things happen. It is a belief system that has to do with everything around us and having this we can go on for another day. Mysticsm is one thing that gives you a true sense of joy and satisfaction. You can give unconditional love and accept love. When you are not remembering what it can give you, you just have to reach down and remember what it is like in the good times. We all have bad days but when we believe that we can change things it usually happens. People who practice Mysticsm are called mystics. Modern mystics believe in social justice and quality of life being for the good of all. Some mystics teach things like tarot reading and Psychic abilities. They usually have these traits themselves and practice on a daily basis. When you do have the ability to foresee the future and become good at it then it is time to start helping others. You just can’t help everyone. They have to believe in what you are doing. Mysticsm also includes the personal side of being able to have what you want. It gives you peace, love self-esteem and an understanding of how life is to be lived. It is not something to be selfish, but to be given freely. Others will share with you if you show them you can share equally and lovingly, without any conditions. If this is what you want all you have to do is find someone that you can share these ideas with and stick with them. It is an ideal way of life and as such it can give you a sense of happiness and wellbeing.
