Looking for adventure? Well,Ride the Adventure, Not the Auto Repair Articles if you are like most teenagers or new drivers, then yes, you are. But, before this great adventure can begin there are a few things you must do before waving goodbye. Teenagers are responsible for much of the auto repair and collisions that happen each year. Chalk it up to inexperience or just plain stupidity, but young drivers have a lot to learn when it comes to owning a vehicle.

Most of what teenagers or young drivers are thinking about is having fun, going off to college, or road tripping. But, even these adventures will require a car. So, having to make a stop at the auto repair shop while in the midst of a great adventure can be very inconvenient. Having to pull over to the side of the road because your engine is about to blow is no way to start out an adventure, or end one, at least not on a high note.

But, what to do? How can one, young teenager avoid such a fate as this? First, listen to your parents. Next, if you are like most well educated people, or on your way to becoming one, then you would know that starting out on a well-planned vacation includes taking a good look at your vehicle before setting out on the open road. Auto repair and car maintenance is a part of life, so deal with it now or you will regret it later. Being prepared in life is truly the best way to enjoy the time that you have. Making sure your car has everything it needs for the long trip just makes sense to most people.

But, if you are not like most people, and some of this is brand new to you, then you are not alone. Millions of new drivers, especially teenagers and young college students out there end up with a ruined transmission or blown engine block because they forgot to have the oil changed. Or, these new drivers forget to check the oil levels in the engine. Some lessons are just learned the hard way. And blowing out the engine of your vehicle is truly a hard lesson. There is really no coming back from a blown engine.

So, think ahead before you are about to set out on an adventure, big or small, you may need some auto repair. Your college friends, your high school friends, whoever they are, they will thank you for thinking ahead, when you are enjoying the fruits of your adventure. Get your fluids checked, kick the tires and test the brakes, and you might just be fine. Remember you will never go far in life when your car is dead.
