Some may be refusing to pay royalties to the source of the ring tones or they may just be out there to harm you or your family. Therefore, it is advisable that you do your own due diligence to avoid being caught unaware.

To get your own ring tones for free, go to any search engine- Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc- and search for “free ring tones” and sift through the search results that are returned. Once you decide on a site that you think has what you need, first go through their legal disclaimers and terms of service to see if you are packing yourself in the wrong parcel. If all is good, go ahead and enjoy the downloads.
