Raspberry Pi is a credit sized computer designed to encourage programming capabilities among children’s. It is easy to use, economical, light weighted and very convenient for performing basic computer task such as editing docs, playing low end games etc.

 Hardware configuration:

·         Raspberry Pi is furnished with 700MHz ARM117JZF-S CPU

·         It has 256 MB of SDRAM which can be extended to 512 MB.

·         RCA & HDMI are the two video outputs available on this single board computer with 3.5 mm audio output jack.

·         It receives power from a micro USB adapter, this means that you don’t have any Switch ON or Switch OFF button and it incurs power directly from plugging the adapter into the board.

·         The firmware includes number of “Turbo” modes which allow user to do over clocking up-to 1 GHz.

·         It does not include an inbuilt hard disk or solid state drive but uses an SD card for booting and long-term storage.

 

Out of the two available choices MODEL B is better as compare to MODEL A and it is more expensive too. MODEL A has only one USB port whereas MODEL B has two such ports. Model B bears an Ethernet port whereas MODEL A doesn’t have it and USB Ethernet or Wi-Fi adapter are used to make dynamic connection with any network. With the above mentioned information, I think you are good enough to realize that Raspberry Pi allows you to perform basic jobs like editing docs, play few low end games but you can’t do a high level of multitasking and web browsing on Raspberry Pi.
