And you won’t have to use any cleaning products.  There are many steam mops to choose from so take your time and research what model and brand will best suit your needs.

One item that you will need for any household is borax. Borax is a white powder that has a wide variety of uses. You can use this in the dishwasher or even in your laundry in exchange for any dishwasher detergent or liquids. Some people have also used Borax with a combination of vinegar and to unclog any drains. It won’t scratch any surfaces and you will be able to find it at your local grocery stores.

Here is a recipe to create your own home grown all-purpose cleaner.  You will want to combine all these ingredients in a spray bottle.  Take one quarter cup white vinegar, 1 tblspoon lemon juice, one-half teaspoon of dishwashing liquid, and two teaspoons borax.
