Oolong represents a true artisan mastership of tea processing. The appearance,Chinese Best Oolong Tea Articles shape and flavor of an oolong tea can vary wildly depending on the region where it’s grown and how it’s processed. The origins of oolong are claimed in both China and Taiwan and the tea is still highly revered in both countries today. There are many types of oolong teas, what kind of oolong tea is most popular? Let's to explore.

Tie Guan Yin: Also known as Iron Goddess of Mercy, Oolong Tieguanyin is the most famous among oolong teas. It is a highly prized, light oolong tea. Offering a very smooth, slightly nutty and delicate floral taste, it is a tea that is rich and well-balanced in its flavours.

Da Hong Pao: This tea is the king of the Famous Five Rock Teas in the Wu Yi Mountain of China. This tea is legendary. Records of its existence date as far back as the early 18th century (Dao Guang Era). During Qing Dynasty, Da Hong Pao was entitled "King of Tea". It is a long leaf oolong tea with a sweet aroma, a unique woodsy character and fruity muscatel tones. It has a robust taste, but generally no bitterness.

Huang Jin Gui(Golden Turtle): It is another varietal of Anxi Oolong tea. Lacking the slight sour-bitterness of Tie Guan Yin, it is characterized by a smooth sweet flavor with a rich slightly nutty after-taste. This tea is earned through the golden liquor its yellowish green leaves infused into, and for its distinct Osmanthus flower-like aroma. Truly a treat not to be missed.

Mi Lan Xiang: The tea is our most popular Phoenix Oolong. It is also a very serious tea, descended from a long line of Phoenix Shui Xian tea trees all bearing the unique honeyed aroma and flavor. Mi Lan Xiang is crafted in the “Nong Xiang” style, where the leaves are oxidized to at least 30% then given repeat roasts until the honey-like aroma and flavor is brought forth. The resulting tea is sweet, with a subtle floral character not unlike lavender or orange blossom honey.

Huang Zhi Xiang: This oolong tea is one of our most elegant Phoenix Oolong teas. Its name loosely translates to "Orange Blossom Fragrance" because of the hint of citrus oil in the tea's natural aroma. This tea is a Dan Cong Oolong from the Phoenix moutains (Fenghuang shan). It translates literally as gardenia fragrance and describes perfectly the character of the tea. Huang Zhi Xiang Dan Cong is characterized by its particularly fruity aroma and a subtle fragrance of flowers.
