Feeling sluggish with a wandering mind can wreak havoc on productivity. I find that Lavazza coffee helps me battle that dragging feeling in the afternoon, even when winter's cold weather seems to prevent me from staying focussed.

The cold months-especially now-tend to cloud my mind. Perhaps it's the fact that there is very little sunshine in the upper Midwest,Lavazza is the Perfect Fix for the Winter Blues Articles the ceaseless wind and cold, or the length of time spent indoors keeping warm; but, whatever it is, winter makes it difficult for me to think. I lose motivation quickly, and I find that my mind wanders often. My only savor, to get me through a long afternoon is a fresh cup of coffee. A steaming cup of Lavazza is a requirement for me to refocus and get my mind back where it needs to be.

It's always at three o'clock-when all I want to do is take a nice long nap or even a stroll under the sun-when I find myself in dire need of a cup of Joe. My head won't stay focused, I find myself daydreaming, planning, and worrying. I can't seem to get anything done, and I just seem to stare at my computer screen without really seeing anything. In that moment, I realize it's time for a boost. So I have myself a a little break and brew some coffee. From that first hint of grounds, I feel more awake and alert. While the coffee is brewing, I take a deep breath and try to clear my mind. And next I just sit and savor my Lavazza. I don't attempt to multi-task; I simply sit and relax and luxuriate in my coffee.

Once I finish my cup, I've had a little break and my awareness begins to function again. I can refocus and turn my awareness back to whatever I should to be doing. I am much more motivated and can think clearly once again. A bit of Lavazza goes far when it comes to getting back on track in the afternoon. It's one of my favorite parts of the day-it doesn't fully beat my morning coffee, but it's pretty close!

A great cup of coffee has a unique way of brightening up the senses and making life look a bit better. Okay, okay, consider me an addict, but it's true! Taking a little time to take pleasure in a cup of coffee helps me clear my mind and realize that all the items weighing on my mind are not as bad as they may seem. I also have a little ritual while I drink my coffee, because it provides the perfect amount of time to take an abrupt step back and reorganize. So, as I'm enjoying my mug of Lavazza, I take a few deep breaths and then begin thinking about all the things that make me feel happy during this day, or this week. It is so simple to cloud your thoughts with the negative things around us, so I make a point to find at least a a few positive things I can shine light on for a few minutes. This prevents me from forgetting that life really is good, even if I'm stressed or daunted or simply sick and tired of snow.

This institution has become a wonderful part of my daily routine. Just around 3:00, every day, when I feel like I'm sluggish and my head wandering, I know it's time for a coffee break. In fact, I think it's getting close to that time right about now. It looks like it's time for a fresh cup of Lavazza!
