Nevermind selling seashells; for decades I've thought of starting up a little coffee house close to the seashore,Providing Lavazza Ground Coffee by the Seashore Articles in a quiet little town filled with locals and visitors. I picture dawn's early light as the sun rises above the ocean, as the initial aroma of Lavazza ground coffee begins to waft on the morning breeze. The seagulls whirling, searching for their breakfast, remind me with a smile of my dependable daily customers, not yet completely awake and searching for their very own morning fix.

The store is minimal and enjoyable, located in a renovated building that used to accommodate businesses of a more sea-faring nature. Perhaps it was the offices of the local shipping merchant, or maybe the haunt of a local pub that filled the evenings with sea chanteys and tales of courageous Ulysses. It's fun to wonder as I begin a brand new day in paradise, serving up Lavazza ground coffee as well as hot croissants and cinnamon buns.

Out front, the coffee shop's porch begs for company, and usually receives it as early rising guests take their cup of freshly brewed coffee outside to savor the flavor with the morning air. These first customers are the die-hards; coffee is a necessity to open up their eyes, and they savor the moment of that first sip.

As my shop is situated right by the entrance of a quaint “village” of gift shops, restaurants and tourist outfitters, the second flow of customers consists mostly of shopkeepers and their employees, stopping by for a short bit of community gossip along with their Lavazza ground coffee to go. They never hang around, but quickly hurry on their way to open shop and prepare themselves for a brand new day of retail work.

Soon after in the morning, the pace slows and the customers that come through the door are a bit sunburnt, some giddy with the eagerness of being on vacation, others more completely tranquil after having spent some days with the sea air. They hover over the chalkboard menu, selecting to treat themselves to that decadent café mocha or chocolate croissant. They arrive pairs or groups of three, arming themselves for a morning of shopping. With Lavazza ground coffee in their hands, and plates full of freshly-baked treats, they go towards the tables out in the back by the duck pond and settle down to luxuriate in the moment.

The off-season is the time I love best; although the tourists (and their cash) are temporarily on break, the locals have more availability to talk, to catch up after the busy summer period, and to really enjoy the beauty of our chosen home by the sea, while we sip our Lavazza ground coffee. The air is cooler now in the mornings, the silver white clouds scudding by as if searching for their harbor. Still, the sun comes through as the fog burns off, and the day promises to warm as the clock advances toward afternoon.

A perfect day in paradise starts with Lavazza ground coffee in my tiny shop by the sea. Its humorous how clearly I can see it all; the shop itself, the wooden chairs on the porch, the duck pond out back, the warm and friendly faces of my friends from town, who love a good cup of coffee and a great conversation as much as I do.
