One quick look at the bookshelves tells you what the prevailing opinion of vampire fiction is…

There seems to be some unwritten rule that all vampire stories have to be romantic or follow the adventures of angsty vampire teens these days.

Nothing wrong with that,Vampire Fiction With Hard-Rocking Action Heroes In Unholy War! Articles mind you.  Standard vampire fiction sells like crazy, and it keeps vampires profitable and popular, which is an overall good thing for us vampire fiends.

But y’know…

Not everybody wants an endless parade of trembling romance or groaning angst.  Some of us like to read about vampires who kick ass and chew bubblegum – and then conveniently run out of gum.

Vampires are smarter, stronger, and faster than us mere mortals, and they can take a ridiculous amount of punishment and keep going – they’re like non-mechanical Terminators!  You’ve seen how hard it is to kill a determined vampire in movies and books…

Vampires are MADE to be action heroes!

Unholy War gives you a double fistful of rock ‘n roll-heavy, action-packed mayhem when L.A.’s modern vampires are invaded by the old-world cultists of the Crimson Order – no-holds-barred, winner take all!

I’ll be upfront with you – I can’t do romance and angst.  It’s not my thing.  Instead, I LOVE crazy action movies like Desperado and balls-out rock ‘n roll like Appetite For Destruction-era Guns ‘N Roses.  This shows up in the vampire stories I write – they're inspired by rock ‘n roll, bad attitude, and a whole ton of mayhem.

In Unholy War, you’ll thrill to…

·         Blood-splattered brawls pitting the hard-rocking Hollywood Vampires against dead-eyed vampiric monsters known as revenants… and let’s not forget a whole army of angry werewolves!

·         Nerve-wracking motorcycle chases ripping through the streets of Los Angeles – the slightest misstep means high-speed death on the unforgiving pavement… or worse!

·         Head-spinning mid-air combat where cocky, streetwise vampire Steele fights for his life and his city against the crazed, ultra-powerful leader of the Crimson Order!

Amidst all of this brain-blasting chaos, you’ll also be treated to half-vampire gypsy Donita exploding a revenant’s eyeballs in his head with a wave of magick, lovably loony loudmouth Stacey charging to the rescue with his double-barreled shotgun, and an against-all-odds mission of vengeance against the Crimson Order in one of their home bases!

Unholy War is slam-bangin’ vampire fiction that’s much more John McClane than Edward Cullen – complete with never-say-die heroes and profanity-laced hilarity…

You’ll howl at the jokes, cheer on the good guys, and dodge flying bodies!

Don’t get me wrong – I’m not bagging on old-style vampire fiction.  Some truly great stories have been told, and authors like Anne Rice really did revitalize the genre back in the 1970’s.  But sometimes you just gotta have some fist-pumping, pulse-pounding EXCITEMENT!

With this in mind, allow me to warn you…

Unholy War isn’t for everybody.  It’s a fiery, swaggering slab of 21st century action, adventure, and mayhem – while love and friendship are strong themes within the story, it’s not the frilly, tear-soaked sonnets of heartbroken princes.  Not even close.

Unholy War is so different from everyday vampire fiction it throws many readers for a loop.

But if you’re ready to go beyond velvet-lined coffins and 18th-century wardrobes – if you’re hungry for something DIFFERENT in vampire fiction, something hard-hitting and exhilarating…
